Springboard Programme: Springboard’s FutureChef

Katie was crowned FutureChef winner in 2017 and went on to do an apprenticeship at UCB with the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts. Whilst completing the apprenticeship, Katie worked at Carters of Moseley, as a chef and front of house. Following from this, she found employment at Purnell’s Restaurant where she worked as a Commis Chef. Since completing her apprenticeship at UCB, Katie has worked as a junior restaurant manager at Cheals of Henley, doing so for 2 years, and has most recently made a return to the kitchen, working as a Home Economist for the BBC’s The Great British Menu.
