Hayley first competed in Springboard FutureChef in 2012, making it all the way to the National Final. This motivated her to enter again in 2013, when she beat all other competitors to the top spot. After this, she completed lots of stages in Michelin starred restaurants but decided she would like to learn the theory side of the culinary industry a bit more and so, completed a course in Food and Nutrition at Sheffield Hallam University. Since then, Hayley has worked for the Co-op, designing and developing ice cream ranges. She has now moved on to a role as Product Development Manager in Asda which involves working with suppliers locally and internationally to source the best possible ingredients and turning these into products much loved by their customers.
“FutureChef really developed me as a person…it really built my confidence”
